With our FOW posts, we try and feature a variety of businesses and genres of work. To keep updated with the trend, today we are featuring a Wallingford based law firm. The families of Ann Farrell and Christine Grochowski are longtime clients and friends of Impressions Studio. We recently chatted with them about their firm and this is what they had to say.

"The law firm of Farrell & Grochowski was started by Jerry Farrell, Sr. in 1966 and has always been based on Wallingford. He was joined by his twin daughters, Ann Farrell and Christine Grochowski in the mid 1990s. We grew up in Wallingford and have a great love of this town and it's residents. As a family owned law firm, we strive to provide personalized service. We have had the opportunity to represent multiple generations of the same families over the years. We love assisting local businesses, helping our clients buy and sell real estate, as well as providing estate planning and elder law services to our clients. We provide help obtaining social security and immigration benefits. Ann and Chris’s dogs are frequent visitors at the firm and we often have clients tell us they are disappointed if the dogs aren’t around during their visit to our office."

Make sure to contact Farrell & Grochowski for your legal needs. They are located on Center Street across from Cafe Ra and keep up to date with our bi-weekly Focus On Wallingford features!

This winter marked the five year anniversary since I officially became the owner of Impressions! The time has just flown by and it's almost hard to believe it has been that long. After this grueling winter and realizing the somewhat monumental year, I decided it was probably time to give the lobby a bit of a facelift. We have gotten numerous compliments on our lobby in the past but I wanted to update the work samples with some newer clients and really represent the style of work I now put out as an artist.

I am part of a great, local networking group and one of the members, Lindsay does interior design. I have seen her portfolio of work and really love her style. I teamed up with her and told her what I was looking for, I wanted a luxurious feel but also something comfortable and relaxed. Together we decided to go for some darker furniture pieces but keep fabrics bright and light. Lindsay wrote a great post with pictures showing the before and after of the space. You can check it out here or by going to her Interiors by Lindsay Facebook page.

I also had the pleasure of photographing Lindsay for her website. It was such a fun session and I'm so glad we were able to spend some extra time together!

Make sure to pop your head into the studio to see the new lobby and stay up to date with what we have coming this summer! We look forward to seeing you!

Just because summer is (almost) officially here doesn't mean your tan is nearly as great as you want it to be. Luckily, right here in Wallingford we have a wonderful tanning salon! The owner, Laura is so lovely and her store is so comfortable and welcoming. Learn more about what Laura had to say, below!

"Anytime Sun is located at 600 North Colony Rd- Wallingford. I purchased the salon Dec of 2014. This really has always been a dream of mine to have my own tanning salon and when this opportunity came about I went after it FULL FORCE to make sure that is was mine. Anytime Sun has been around for many years with a total of 17 tanning beds starting of with your basic 20 min level 1 bed and then ending with Level 3 high pressure 12 min max tanning bed. We also have a variety of custom jewelry pieces which I added to the salon along with many other accessories.

The new adventure at Anytime Sun is Norvell Spray Tanning which I just started up in March and I have such pride in doing the spray tanning. I guess I just love making people feel amazing and look amazing! Norvell Spray tanning is very very popular and I have been booked since I started this!!!!! It just gives you such a GLOW to your skin without tanning and the smile on the clients face after I finish is PRICELESS! =)

I have many clients who have been coming to this salon for over 10 years and still til this day, love the salon. I have such amazing clients who not only come in to tan but to talk and just check in, which is so nice. Also being located in such a warm welcoming town such as Wallingford is definitely a plus!!! I look forward to serving many new and old clients from Wallingford and surrounding towns."

Don't forget to head down to Anytime Sun this summer, or at any point throughout the year! Thank you Laura for your time, it was great chatting with you!

As a photographer, I am often on my feet for many hours a day and awkwardly lugging around different equipment. Usually that means sore shoulders, back, legs....or all of the above. I'm also and avid crossfiter and sometimes the WODs can take a lot of out of me, especially when work has been really busy. When I met Dr. Tracey, the owner of Healing Hands Chiropractic, I was a little hesitant to see what she had to offer. As much as I wanted to offer my body relief, I was nervous. When I went in for my appointment, Tracey made me feel so comfortable! She provided relief to my aches as well as a calming enviornment. All of my freinds who have attended her practice have said the same things!

Here is what Tracey had to say about her office...

"I have been a Chiropractor since 1998. I decided to be a chiropractor at age 6 and have been working toward that goal my entire life. I began taking college courses in Sports Medicine since high school and became the student athletic trainer. I graduated from Massage School in 1990 and did massage in private practice and further utilized theses skills in physical therapy in outpatient and hospital settings. I later went on to get my acupuncture certification to round out my knowledge.

Although I have extensive knowledge of athletes and rehabilitation, my true love is working with pregnant women and children. It is better to build healthy kids than to repair longstanding issues in adults. Often our problems as adults begin in childhood but are not addressed until we are much older, and the kids really love it! It helps keep you healthy by strengthening immune function, helps with ADD and ADHD symptoms, and can help kids with bed wetting and ear infections! (Adults too!)

I love what I do! I am not your "typical" doctor, or chiropractor. You get individualized care in my office and often leave with a hug too."

If you have been looking for a local chiropractor for you or your children, I believe I have ended your search! Together you will make a plan on what will heal and work best for you. Contact Tracey today!
